Temple
town of Khajuraho is much different from any other temple city of India. It is not about religion, worshipping and deities. The Khajuraho temples were built over a span of a hundred years. A wall with eight gates, each flanked by two golden palm trees enclosed the whole area. The 85 temples were built in North Indian ‘Nagara’ style of architecture, through only 20 of them have survived the rough weather conditions over long years of time. The two richer distinctive group of temples scattered over an area of about 21 sq. km.
